Legal Aid NSW provides legal services in partnership with the private legal profession by providing legal aid. In 2014/2015, private lawyers accounted for 41.8% of legal aid clients. They work closely with partners including LawAccess NSW, Community Law Centres and the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Legal Service NSW/ACT. Its services are provided through the Sydney head office and 23 regional offices. Legal Aid NSW employs approximately 1000 people.
