The Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 1LE is already a monstrous performance vehicle. With 650 hp, sticky tyres and trick aerodynamics, it`s an incredible all-rounder. But in the world of 760 hp Ford Mustang Shelby GT500 and 797 hp Dodge Challenger Hellcat Redeyes coupes, it`s understandable that some people are looking for a little more power. But Hennessey Performance Engineering has taken the Camaro ZL1 1LE beyond, “a little more power” with the Resurrection, which has almost twice the power of the production car. And after a series of 20 units, they have just finished production of one of the craziest muscle cars of all time. When FCA announced it would launch an 840 hp, 9-second Dodge Challenger, Hennessey Performance quickly introduced the exorcist Camaro ZL1 package. They gave the package this name because it was built to drive out Demons, and yesterday the Texas tuner released video evidence that this 1,000hp Chevrolet muscle car will beat Dodge`s fastest Challenger. However, Hennessey failed to improve the suspension, brakes or tires to accommodate that much power, even though they did ensure that the gearbox was strong enough not to break into millions of pieces once the driver justified it. The result was a car that had 1,000 horsepower on the test bench, but couldn`t use all that power either on the drag track or on the road. With a single key, you can switch from road to track – adding an additional negative drop of 1.5 degrees in minutes and doubling the road mode by 1.5 degrees. In conjunction with a 10mm front ride height adjustment in both directions and a three-fold adjustable rear anti-roll bar, you should be able to choose it quickly and, unusually, relatively easily depending on your preferences.
The Chevy Camaro ZL1 “Exorcist” is a road-legal package built around the 6th generation Camaro ZL1, with Hennessey`s special power modifications that increase power to 1000 horsepower. It will cover the quarter mile in less than 10 seconds. The centrifugal compressor is much more linear, delivering its much higher power and torque in the speed range, around 5-7,000 rpm. It`s also much louder, with a larger bleed valve that blows and blows with each throttle actuation, but also an amplified version of Wilhelm`s traditional cry of compressor moans. An absolutely addictive feature. If you`re more of a street cruiser, we recommend positive displacement (especially with a non-1LE car specification), but if you`re taking the track in the more targeted splitters and wing camaros, go for the centrifuge. For that price, however, you get a road-legal Camaro ZL1 with 1,000 horsepower, a top speed of 217 miles per hour, and the ability to drive a 9.57-quarter-mile at 147 miles per hour. Where is the best dealer to buy Camaro Exorcist, including buying a car? I live in Connecticut, you would send me home. Can you get a 1le package on a convertible? I want that big grand piano on the trunk? The exorcist® is the epitome of the American muscle car and has the offline performance to embarrass almost every car on the planet If we talk about the production model, then Chevy Camaro produces about 650 horsepower. While the Hennessey Tuned has a massive power of 1000 hp. You can read the Chevy Camaro Exorcist specification details to learn more.
The exorcist upgrade (conveniently marked by a new sticker pack) is transferable to both the regular ten-speed ZL1 and the more combative, track-oriented 1Le. If you`re old enough, remember the movie “The Exorcist” and it was the scariest horror movie of its time. Hennessy Performance has just announced that they will bring the Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 “The Exorcist” to the 2017 SEMA Show. Yes, it`s scary quickly. Hennessey® Performance Engineering will offer 30 customers special versions of its legendary EXORCIST® Camaro ZL1 Performance Upgrade and Modification package. The Texas-based high-performance vehicle specialist, which is three decades faster (1991-2021), will complete its production of 100 cars from The Exorcist® with this ultra-exclusive set of muscle cars. The Hennessey Camaro Resurrection debuted at the 2019 SEMA Show, a few years after the exorcist and after the Texas tuning company began offering packages for the Dodge Demon. With over 1,000 horsepower, the Hennessey Demon was significantly more powerful than the Camaro set built to distribute it. Hennessey charges at least $200,000 for each Chevrolet Camaro Resurrection package, which includes the price of the factory Camaro ZL1 1LE needed to manufacture it.
To date, Camaro Exorcist beats many supercars such as Lamborghini Huracan, McLaren 720S, Porsche 911 GT2 RS, etc. Hi, you can contact Hennessey Performance sales and general information – sales (@)hennesseyperformance.com Ah, I see what they did there: Exorcist vs Demon – very smart. But what exactly is it? The V8 turns the rear wheels via a six-speed manual transmission or a 10-speed automatic transmission. We don`t yet know how many horses the Dodge Challenger Demon will have, but it almost certainly won`t surpass The Exorcist`s performance. The DSSV shocks developed by Multimatic for the previous-generation racing track Camaro Z28 monster have been installed (some of the best shock absorbers on this side of a race car) and not only significantly reduce the weight at each corner – more than 2.5kg per pop – but they also have a really ingenious and super simple camber adjustment system on the laps. Well, there is a choice of compressors; either a 2.9-litre rotary lobe or a centrifugal compressor. Then there are the options; The “drag pack” includes an optional 20-inch wheel pair with Nitto 315/30-20 tight trailed radial tires, a drive shaft upgrade, a floor lift and a toolbox. It will be $8,995. Then there`s the optional “Road Race Pack” with lightweight 20-inch wheels from Hennessey with Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2.
It is $6,995, please. Hi Shailesh, you can`t get an i-convertible here. By the way, you pointed out some nice things about this performance car. Hennessy called him “exorcist”, the word comes from the Greek, which means devil or demons. As with any supercar, production is limited and pricing starts at $119,950. How did Hennessey do it? First, they swapped the LT4 V8 of the Camaro ZL1 for the LT5 V8 of the C7-generation Corvette ZR1. Then they gave it a variety of upgrades, including a “high-flow air intake system, a CNC billet accelerator upgrade, a 2.65-liter CNC-port compressor with a larger intercooler system, a custom carbon fiber hood with increased headroom, CNC-fixed factory cylinder heads, camshaft and valve group upgrades, a 1 7/8-inch long-tube stainless steel manifold with high-flow catalysts, a fuel system upgrade, engine management recalibration, and chassis test bench tune-up. The exorcist began life as a 2017 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1, already considered one of the most powerful high-performance coupes on the market. Hennessey engineers have increased the power of the 6.2-liter supercharged V8 engine up to 1,000 horsepower at 6,400 rpm and 966 lb-ft of torque at 4,400 rpm.
The list of upgrades includes a larger compressor, high-flow input, new cams, custom engine management calibration, and probably a bit of black magic. You are not wrong. There`s a larger front grille and the daytime running lights are off to save weight and further improve airflow. The splinter grows and also receives a pair of diving planes. At the rear, the ZL1`s spoiler transforms into a wing capable of producing 136kg of downforce at 150mph. Then there`s that huge carbon fiber wing on the aft deck, as well as air deflectors and submersibles on the front panel to stick the Camaro to the track. Stuffing 1,000 horsepower under the hood of a Camaro ZL1 with a retro-style “Fox Body” display mode results in an impressive 0-60 time of less than three seconds and a quarter-mile time of less than 10 seconds. We can`t wait for Dodge to finally show us the demon to figure out how it stacks up in the coupe specially designed to drive it away. Turn up your speakers and enjoy the video footage below. Camaro Exorcist offers 1000 hp, which is transferred to the rear wheels.
Enough. Meet The Exorcist, John Hennessey`s version of the Camaro ZL1. And his response to Dodge`s confused demon blowing up 840-horsepower wheels. The 1LE is, of course, the faster version of the fast version of the humble American muscle car.
