I took the gun to an indoor firing range to test and shoot several groups without a noose or any other method of stabilization, but with my bare hands: the MP7A1 is mainly made of carbon fiber reinforced plastic, in which metal components are integrated if necessary. The weapon can be disassembled in seconds without tools and requires little cleaning due to its unique gas system. The MP7 represents a new generation of high-performance machine guns that bridge the gap between assault rifles and conventional machine guns. Developed as a true weapon of individual defence, it goes far beyond NATO`s requirements. The Heckler & Koch Universal Combat Pistol (HK UCP), also known as the HK P46, is a semi-automatic double weapon developed for the Bundeswehr. The UCP concept was later abandoned at the prototype stage. The Mag version is like a USP: Ambi and along the trigger to be friendly with right-handed and left-handers. The views are also very nice, as is the Ambi safety and cargo handle. The only thing I wish the gun had some sort of front grip that wasn`t a sharp Picatinny cheese grater. I know a conventional front grip would turn the gun into an AOW, but honestly, I wouldn`t prefer a rail. This is not the truth. This thing is crazy.
But it`s also the first in the country, so I would never buy it myself, but I understand why someone would. The 4.6mm cartridge was developed by HK for the MP7 and its companion weapon, the UCP pistol. The UCP never made it past the prototype stage, but the 4.6x30mm definitely made a name for itself in the MP7. For the amount cost per the HK97, you can buy a PS90 rifle and a ton of ammunition. Frankly, I believe that this weapon at this price is only for the hardest H&K collectors. While cool, I can think of a whole bunch of other weapons I`d rather have at this price! Pistols remain common side weapons as long as handguns are needed. And while standard machine guns with pistol ammunition will continue to play an important role in the years to come, and carbine assault rifles will remain the standard infantry weapon in the military for the foreseeable future, the HK MP7 and other similar weapons will provide crucial common ground for those seeking the best of all worlds. Yes, but it does not produce them for the public. Maybe eventually, but so far it`s a very limited production because mine-cleared MP7s aren`t cheap and if you have to ask the price, you probably can`t afford it. Typical 😂 HK The lethal 4.6mm x 30 cartridge produces minimal perceived recoil (50% of a NATO 9mm munition) – ensuring that multiple shots can be easily marked in all firing modes – and neutralizing the target through intrusion and permanent tissue destruction.
The Heckler & Koch MP7 (German: Maschinenpistole 7) is a personal defense weapon for the HK 4.6×30 mm armor-piercing cartridge from the German defense manufacturer Heckler & Koch. If HK actually did that, it would probably cost $6000 just for fun and probably $100 per mag. In response to the D29 document on NATO PDW requirements, HK has developed a personal defense weapon system that will penetrate the CRISAT vest, consisting of 1.6mm titanium plates and 20 layers of Kevlar, up to 200 meters and beyond. An MP7A1 with Zeiss RSA red dot reflex viewfinder and LLM01 laser lighting module. Phil White emailed me saying I was going to test drive the HK 97 and as a guy from H&K, I was absolutely thrilled. I rounded up about 4.6×30 and was excited about it! It was designed (with the new cartridge) to meet NATO requirements published in 1989, which required an SMG weapon with greater capability to defeat Kevlar bulletproof vests (compared to pre-existing submachine guns with conventional pistol cartridges such as .45 ACP and 9×19mm Parabellum). The MP7 hangs like a pistol but can engage targets like a rifle. With its 7-inch barrel, the HK MP7A1 is capable of firing semi-automatic groups of 10 rounds at 45 meters less than 2 inches.
The UCP operated according to the principle of delayed flashback. The exterior design of the UCP appears to have been borrowed from the HK P2000 pistol and includes ambidextrous controls, interchangeable back straps and a Picatinny rail system for attaching accessories. Like the USP and P2000 pistol series, the trigger mechanism would have been modular and in various configurations. The UCP is designed to accommodate an extended thread that can accommodate the attachment of a Brügger & Thomet silencer. [47] Ministry of Defense policeman within range with an MP7-SF in CBRN suit. The MP7 went into production in 2001 and is a direct competitor to the FN P90, which was also developed by the Belgian company FN Herstal in response to NATO requirements. The weapon has been revised since its introduction and the latest production variants are the MP7A1 and MP7A2. [7] [8] The MP7 is equipped with a full-length top-mounted Picatinny rail that comes standard with a front and rear hinged iron visor.
When the visors are folded flat, they look like open patridge-style visors. When folded, they have opening visors. The visors can be easily removed by loosening and lifting a single screw. It can mount additional rails on the sides of the gun that allow for commercial optical sights (telescopic sights and red dots), laser sight modules (LAMs) and tactical flashlights. It can also accommodate a suppressor, and its custom suppressor does not affect its accuracy or rate of fire. The 4.6mm x 30 ammunition developed by HK offers penetration power close to that of assault rifle ammunition and is capable of defeating the types of bulletproof vests commonly found in the hands of terrorists and criminal gangs, especially those of the former Soviet bloc special forces, which are now NATO`s standard test target (CRISAT).
