The Department of Justice agrees that the New Zealand Bar Library provides off-duty courthouse access solely for the purpose of lawyers` legal research. This means that only the cardholder is allowed to enter the premises. Clients, other lawyers without cards and without a tailgate are not allowed to enter the libraries or chambers of lawyers of the NZLS. “We know how scary the court process can be for people, especially when they face unnecessary obstacles.
